The Ever-Present Now

“Some things you’re not letting happen right now because the timing isn’t perfect for you. Some you’re not letting happen because you are very aware of where you are. But all things, as they are happening, are happening in perfect order. And if you will relax and begin saying, “Everything in its perfect time. Everything is unfolding. And I’m enjoying where I am now, in relationship to where I’m going. Content where I am, and eager for more,” that is the perfect vibrational stance.”  — Abraham  [Excerpted from Kansas City, KS – Wednesday, September 17th, 2003]

Years ago we offered a license plate frame that contained the words, “Discover the joy of the NOW at UNITY.”  Unity’s message has always been focused on the only moment we ever have, and it is, of course, now.  Often a focus on what was produces regrets or guilt.  A focus on tomorrow can produce fear or similar, yet if this is happening, when are these emotions experienced?  Only in the now which should reinforce the validity of accepting the now as all we got.  (bad English)  Joy is a cause and not an effect.  Events and circumstances can have the appearance of making joy an easier choice, but it nevertheless is always a choice that we can activate that has the effect of lifting a moment of now into something that feels, if not good, at least better.  So, change the channel, change the conversation, change what seems to have captured your focus.  Practicing being content in the now and milking the now for all it’s worth prepares consciousness for even greater good.
