The Rules of the “Game”

“The Universe does not know if the vibration you are offering is because of what you are imagining, or because of what you are observing. In either case, it is responding. Where emotion comes in is that emotion is your guidance or your response to your vibration. Your emotion does not create. Emotion is your indicator of what you are already creating. As you think, you vibrate. And it is your vibrational offering that equals your point of attraction. So it’s always a match. What you are thinking and what is coming back to you is always a vibrational match. The emotion (your Guidance System) is telling you what’s coming.” — Abraham  [Excerpted from North Los Angeles, CA – Tuesday, March 7th, 2000.]

This, for me, is one of the most concise statements found within the Abraham material that enables us to begin to understand what can be thought of as the rules to the game of life.  How and why do things appear in my life?  It reminds us that, in essence, we are always in prayer, for we are always initiating thought, and focused thought is immediately translated into vibration, much like we are always speaking into an inner microphone that generates a signal that becomes a vibration that then finds its way onto a CD, tape or thumb drive.  A passing whisper doesn’t do much of anything, but a shout does.  Then the point that is so valuable to know is shared…“our emotion is telling us what’s coming.”  Just because it is in the present environment, and both political “sides” are very verbal, if we find ourselves generating thought that is on the negative side of something, that is what the Universe is acknowledging and it then becomes our point of attraction.  Then, if we like what is being heard, yet it also seems to generate negative thoughts toward someone that isn’t agreeing with what is so very logical to us, then that “shout,” if it becomes louder within us, becomes our point of attraction.  Perhaps better to just tune it all off.  “What we are thinking and what is coming back to (us) is always a vibrational match.”  This is why working into our day a moment or two when we focus on an affirmation that feels good is so very important.  This is why, whenever we discover that we have allowed ourselves to be hoodwinked into a thought that feels rotten to quickly shift into a memorized positive statement or affirmation is so very important.  If possible, then to speak them aloud and stay centered until our emotional response is positive and happy.  We are the creators of our own environment (life) therefore “I am the master of my fate, I am the captain of my soul.”  (Invictus – Henley)
