“Many around you want to point out “reality” to you. They say, “Face the facts. Look at what-is.” And we say to you, if you are able to see only what-is—then, by Law of Attraction, you will create only more of what-is… You must be able to put your thoughts beyond what-is in order to attract something different or something more” — Abraham [Excerpted from the book “The Law of Attraction, The Basics of the Teachings of Abraham”]
One of Abraham’s zippiest and pithy reminders that grabs the attention of one who is really seeking to understand how things work… We are yet wont to somehow see the activity (Law) of Spirit (God) as an activity that is outside of us, almost as if we are an appendage and clueless. Clueless, perhaps, but we can’t claim that any longer, and that is a good thing, for with insight comes power, and with power comes control, and with control comes the birth of true understanding of what we here to do and be in the first place. First, the “do” and “be” portion is what the ACIM material calls a journey without distance, for the only thing we need to do and be is to just remember what already is as we begin to consciously (the key word is consciously) remember. It isn’t God outside of us doing anything; it is God as us but awaiting, as it were, for us to give It direction. That is what we are here to do…give direction to the what now becomes the goals of the net page of how the Universe unfolds; that is how powerful we are…remember, God in us, through us and as us. Paragraph II necessary.
Now it is eas(y)(ier) to begin to understand our part in orchestrating change in our world, and it isn’t to face the facts and stir around in them, for because of the Creative Power that continually moves through us, that which we energize draws more of the same…we don’t ever want to re-create more of what is/was, IF it was unpleasant. So, we have to figure out a way to shift our focus. Find something to read that is upbeat. Conjure up a virtual experience of joy and peace…something…anything other than/rather than what usually falls into the category of “well, it is what is…common, face the facts, face what is.”
