Are You Keeping the Sabbath?

“You might say, ‘How do I know if I’m in a receiving mode or not?’ And we say, you always feel good when you’re in a receiving mode. When someone offers you a compliment, do you receive it, or do you sort of just shrug it off? There’s something about believing that you must justify your existence through your effort or through your perseverance, through your struggle. And many of you just have not practiced the receiving mode.” Abraham [Excerpted from Spokane, WA on 5/19/01]

Learning to realize that we do not have to justify our existence through effort…that our Oneness/Existence is firmly established…negates efforting and enhances just allowing the good to flow.  Remembering to gently monitor the input we are constantly receiving from our emotional take on the moment, conversation, experience or event allows us to flow with the flow.  Nothing we seek is up-stream requiring efforting.

O the Words We Speak

“When the contrast gets greater, the desire gets greater too, and that’s what miracles are from. A miracle is nothing more than a terrible situation that has caused strong desire and then somehow an alignment of Energy with the desire. Everyday life creativity, that’s all that it is.” Abraham [Excerpted from Chicago, IL on 11/2/97]

So, why wait until a terrible situation comes into view in our lives?  Setting aside a constant and consistent time to focus on what we really want to do and be is far better than letting our focus roam all over the place and once something unpleasant comes into view, to then pull our focus together where it should be.  Things to consider.  Have an ever-growing appreciation list that grabs your attention daily as you affirm and add.  Making a choice to stay away from conversations or a focus upon something that doesn’t feel good.  Keeping as part of your reading things that inspire. The yo-yo effect of moving from challenge to “miracle” and then back to challenge isn’t fun.  Life can be on a far more even keel, but it takes insight and choices made.  Remember, there isn’t a God ‘out there’ waiting for our supplications to get loud and strong enough to be convinced to do something…  It is Energy flowing in, through and as us and we are constantly giving It direction…something that this Sunday’s lesson will speak to.

The Tradition of Advent

“Metabolism is vibrational response to your moment in time. Metabolism is the way the Energy is moving through your body. And so, everything is in response to the way you feel — everything is. Everything is mind over matter. Every disease is mental first. Everything is about thought. Everything is about vibration. Everything is about the way you feel. Practice scenarios that feel good—and never mind reality. Reality is only a brief moment in time that you keep repeating. Abraham  [Excerpted from Silver Spring, MD.” on 5/11/02.]

Think about it…this is an insight into the basic understanding that everything is vibration-based and vibration (frequency) controlled and defined.  Light and sound are defined in this way, and why wouldn’t the same Principle also be behind the how and why everything works the way it does.  Our tool is mind or thought, and especially a definite focus on something that then invites its innate vibrational frequency into our lives.  The Universe doesn’t comprehend shouting “no” at something…it only acknowledges the vibrational frequency behind it.  If as we shout “no” we feel disgust, anger, resentment or fear, the pattern becomes a vibrational asking for more.  So, “practice scenarios that feel good—and never mind reality.”  The more focus we allow reality to play in our lives, the more it is just rolled over into our tomorrows.  This Christmas make it a time of looking for things that return good and happy feelings.  Ignore what might at one time irritated you for if you don’t, the Universe will bring into your life things that will give you ample moments to again make the choice of irritation, and you are worth so much more.

Advent & Joy

“Leverage your time more by spending a little more time every day imagining and a lot less time every day doing. Do a little more imagining and a little more less doing. Until eventually most of what’s happening is happening in the cool, calm, anticipatory state. Just imagine yourself into the successes, and watch what happens. Imagine a little more and act a little less.”  Abraham [Excerpted from Dallas, TX on 1/24/98]

See the logic in this…if indeed everything is vibrationally based, then the times of focus we give to forcing action within a perceived sea of things that are wrong, bad, demanding, etc., is the focus that will bring more of the same into our environment in the form of person, place, event or thing.  We get what we are focused upon, and this can change.  Knew someone who almost prided herself in saying “same-O, same O” when asked the usual question, “How are you?”  So, again she stirred around in this energy that already wasn’t happy – and guess what her life evidenced…the same junk and more of it.  We are asked to spend time in dreaming and imagining,  Mentally create environments of completion and then stay in that awareness for a while, at least eventually longer than time in fretting, worrying, and forcing activity and action that is definitely efforting.  The ideal time to do it might be upon awakening, or at the start of the day that is marked by getting out of bed and then to take a moment to dream, imagine and embrace what is really wanted.  If you are a very good worrier, it may take a little while to turn the ship of life’s experience around, but not as long as it took to paint the current picture.  Start now…imagine, visualize…imagine, visualize, dream.

First Sunday of Advent – Faith

“You are the only one who creates in your experience—no one else. Everything that comes to you comes by the power of your thought. If there are changes you would like to make, it will be of great value to begin telling a different story—not only about your body, but about all subjects that have been troubling to you. As you begin to positively focus, getting to feel so good about so many subjects, you will begin to feel the power that creates worlds flowing through you.”  Abraham [Excerpted from Money and the Law of Attraction on 8/31/08]

If every thought and then word is an affirmation (prayer) of what we want our tomorrows to be…then doesn’t it make sense that if we want our tomorrows to be different we have to begin now to affirm differently?  If indeed this is the self-actualizing process of life, to make no change in what we think and say (affirm) will only result in a continuation of what is now appearing to be our lives.  The opportunity, then, is to insure that increasingly our focus is upon what we want to do, be and have, and to begin by at least not articulating the problem as much giving space for a focus of thought and word upon something wonderful.
