Just supposing…just for a moment or two…that everything really is interconnected, and that our point of connectivity is governed by a vibrational energy called thought, and that what Abraham has called the What-If game, is always available for us to use so as to cause unhappy anythings to start the process of turning around to something better…just supposing. If this wasn’t true, then our input for logical change just doesn’t exist and in its place only luck, accident and chance are behind everything. If things are not as we might have them be, the worst thing we can do is look for circumstances and happenings that will reinforce moments of lack for this strengthens and makes more “real” what we don’t want. If there is a habit of reinforcing lack moments with lack expectations this needs to be broken. We can now catch ourselves in the beginning of this process and within a new intention to look for evidence of well-being, it will begin to turn things around, but we have to do it. The beginning point is catching ourselves when we are playing the self-defeating game of I told you so.

The Law that governs all things is either consistent or it isn’t. And, if it isn’t, then there is luck, accident or chance at work which means that on occasion, without our knowing when, one plus one will no longer be two. What is challenging to many is that this same law/Principle extends Itself into how we interact with It, and here we often want to take a bye and have the Law work for us only when we want it to work, and in other instances overlook a conscious choice on our part to be negative thinking that it will not have repercussions. The Law is consistent. It governs the Principle of Abundance in our lives…and what must come first, abundance or a feeling abundance? Make me rich and then I’ll feel thankful and abundant! No, that’s not the way it goes. If things are not to the level of abundance in your life that you desire at this moment, you somehow have to first find the way to feel the abundance you are seeking. It is very helpful to find something that outwardly reinforces what the mind is focused upon…go visit the most expensive car dealership in Tucson or where you live (even if you don’t want a car at this moment) and ask the salesperson if you can just sit in the car for a few moments. Visit the most expensive restaurant/resort in the city and sit in the lounge and order a coke (or whatever) and sit there for an hour or so. You get the idea. In this environment, practice a feeling of thankfulness and appreciation for what the flow of abundance means to you. Inwardly speak affirmations of thankful-appreciation for your instant, consistent and abundant access to the Kingdom that is awaiting an focused choice to be made from the Life’s menu of everything that is wonderful. The “egg” must come before the chicken.

Our usual Thursday email is a little late this week… Our quote from Abraham is a good reminder. And, the same identical buffer of time is true once we successful learn to monitor what we are thinking, meaning the manifest results of our focused positive thinking won’t be instantaneous either. This causes many to then say, “I tried this happy and positive thinking all day yesterday, and nothing changed,” and then to sometimes add, “I told you so.” Friends, nothing changes in our life until we first incontestably accept that we are the creators of our own reality and that thought is our tool. Then, to accept beyond doubt that our present life and circumstances are the result of focused thought prior to the moment of today. Without accepting that this is true, we will then just bumble along and usually let circumstances determine our direction of thought, rather than the determining factor being conscious choices made by us as we circle the tool thought around happy and positive things. How can we tell? Listen to your gut and what it is telling you. If happy and peace filled, then stay there. If the opposite, beat a hasty retreat and re-energize something that is happy and peace filled. No blame or guilt, just a moment of understanding the rules for the game of life, and then to apply them.

If we can move to a logic that accepts that we are the creators of our own reality, then we have moved to the understanding that the quicker we can discover the building tools, the quicker we can work on remodeling what we have (should anything not be to our liking). Everything is energy…our bodies are coalesced energy on the physical plane, and the energy we transmit through thought and word is the main tool we possess. Happy thought is a tool, as is the same for unhappy thought, and they each produce after their kind. Expectation is an energy, as is resignation to “same o, same o”. As we practice expectation for happy, positive and good-feeling moments, the more we will draw them into our lives in the form of person, place, condition, circumstance or thing. This needs to be a dominant practice, for the Universe as it were takes an average of the goals of what we expect and uses this as a criterion of what we want our lives to be, so after reading this sharing, and a moment is then spent in the realm of thought that is expecting something wonderful, only to then somewhat automatically return to a comfortable complacency of thought where we make the choice to not take command of the tiller, then not much will be changed. Reaching for the time when the dominant average of thought is expectation of good is the goal. We are the captain of our ship of consciousness, we get to make the choice what that will be.

You don’t feel compelled to put them on your plate and eat them; you just pick the things that you like. And the Universe of thought is the same way. A very applicable and time-sensitive reminder. The close world of family and environmental things, and the somewhat further world of people, governments and things, all offer what Abraham calls a contrasting buffet that we can embrace within us, or refuse to embrace within us. Each carries with it a vibrational energy that is keyed into what we perceive is happening, and once we embrace it, meaning giving strong attention to it, the vibrational energy then becomes part of consciousness…our consciousness. “But it’s there…it’s all over the news.” Yes, it is there, but now we have a choice as to what to do with it and its energy. We can stir around in it and launch out in a sundry amount of similar paths, each one feeling worse, or if the initial exposure didn’t feel good, then a more productive choice might be to fork our attention (focus) away from what doesn’t feel good, and into a focus of a blessing of love, and leaving it there.
A story is told of Joel Goldsmith. He was in Hawaii. There was a dutch door in the kitchen leading to the outside. The top half of the door was open allowing in the breeze and happy sounds. Joel heard a scratching at the door and went over to investigate. There was a dog – one that Joel didn’t know, scratching. Joel opened the door and the dog walked in and lay down on the hard surface of the kitchen floor. He remembered saying, “I’m not sure why you have come here, but let’s pray together,” and knelt down beside the dog, place his hand on its head, and in Joel’s tuned-in fashion begin to acknowledge Oneness. Before long a large quantity of ticks were seen crawling out from under the dog’s unkempt hair. They were swept into a dust pan and taken away. The dog got up and walked away.
Perhaps think of unhappy buffet choices that the world sometimes offers as ticks we don’t want to keep or allow to multiply. Perhaps think of their appearance on the screen of our moment as only a call for prayer to acknowledge love and Oneness, and then swept up and move on. Perhaps?
