“Negative emotion is your indicator of resistance, while positive emotion is your indicator of allowance. And they are on the same meter: allowance; resistance. Allowance; resistance.” Abraham [Excerpted from Monterey, CA on 3/20/01]
Could it really be that simple? What if it is, he hurts nothing to begin to monitor the emotional feedback segment of who we are and strive to keep it in the allowance realm. Certainly we all experience what can be called resistance or not feeling good emotions…life seems to give us that opportunity. However, be that is it may, we have another opportunity and it is to pivot our thoughts away from what doesn’t feel good to something that does. If it is an encounter with person, place or thing and it is presenting opportunities to move to the negative emotional side of things, then if possible disengage, or actually be up front and say something like, “This doesn’t feel good to me, can we move to another topic/subject,” or just somehow move within yourself to a “place” that is more peaceful…something.
“See this world as a free world, and see everyone in it as trying through their individual experiences to find their way back to that calling, back to that Source Energy. And even though there are billions of them going about it in a way that is different than you would choose, there’s no right or wrong way. In other words, bless them all, and get on with the only thing you have any power about, which is opening or closing your vortex to your natural state of Well-Being.” Abraham -[Excerpted from San Francisco, CA on 2/28/04]
When Abraham uses the term “vortex” think of it as your inner, eternal space where all there is is pure Energy – here the Real of us eternally abide, but learning to be consciously “there” is what we can progressively do. So, release everyone to their chosen way of doing it…may not be our way necessarily, but why spin our wheels in the muck of making judgments about the wrongness of another? If they are spinning their wheels (energy) looking at your way and labeling it as wrong, well, that is their chosen way of approaching life, just don’t spin your energy-wheels making judgments there. What is ours to do? Progressively stay tune-in to who and what we truly are. Remember, God in you, through you and as you.
“The content of your vibration equals how you feel right now. And whether you’re thinking about the past, the present, or the future, how you feel right now — as you think about the past, the present, or the future — is your life. And it’s a precious, fabulous, creative life that you are not wanting to squander in a place of resistance. Your life is right now.” Abraham [Excerpted from San Francisco, CA on 3/11/00]
Your vibration is what Unity understands to be consciousness. Hence the first words now would read “The content of your consciousness equals how you feel right now,” and then…where our focus is around past and future becomes our consciousness, and our consciousness becomes our now. It always is. It is always Energy (God) moving not only in us and through us, but as us. What does this serve to say (?)…be mindful and watchful as to where and what we are holding as a focus unless we want more of the vibration (consciousness) to find manifestation in our lives. Be watchful for the emotional feedback from wherever and whatever we are holding as a focus. If it is pleasant and happy it is serving us. If it is laced with fear and similar, then don’t unless we want more of it as our “life right now.”
Life is full of changes, and it is never the change itself that produces conflict or even joy…it is always our perception of the experience and our willingness to then realize that within it a blessing always exists. Seldom do we think this way about things that we deep to be pleasant or wonderful, yet to apply the same principle is to then discover even more of what we think to be pleasant and wonderful. Why? This is the nature of the Universe (God) and hence is the nature of each. Feelings of conflict or disappointment can be the spring board into what now senses a deeper opportunity to be open and receptive to what will express itself in and through us as our innate Nature, and we can leave the other feelings or perceptions that are unpleasant (at least expressing a willingness to do so) and therein discover the greater good. Life is full of changes, and within each is to be found something that is fulfilling.
“You see, you’re giving others too much power as you even acknowledge how they make you feel. What you’ve got to decide is how I’m going to feel. We would go to a Virtual Reality and we would practice feeling good. Manifestations come on the heels of what you’ve conjured in thought” — Abraham [Excerpted from North Los Angeles, CA – Saturday, March 2nd, 2002]
We all have had the experience of actually allowing what another says to be fed into our choice as to our feeling happy or sad. They might have said something or acted in a certain way, or whatever that then we internalized the energy that went along with it to now form the basis for how we feel. How we have chosen to feel. It is understood that massive and large world events and its energy offers to us a very tempting opportunity to feel all the myriad of emotions that could be quoted, yet once internalized they have a life of their own and the path they lead us down isn’t pleasant. It takes a choice to be a conscious (awaken, aware, alert) participant over what we allow to penetrate into our consciousness to then become a feeling. What then many do is to verbalize that feeling and that choice the makes it our very own. Now it isn’t what another did, said or didn’t do or say…it is now our very own, and while we can take back control at any step, it is now more difficult. Catch it early and eventually there will not be anything to catch.
