With a group of extraordinarily dedicated people, Unity of Tucson is establishing a community garden on our 18-acres. The garden is located on a sand court. Boxes are being built by those who want to participate.
Joining Unity community garden has an advantage of cost of water. Since the church has its own well, the cost is for the electricity to pump the water. This will be divided up amongst the gardeners for a total of $25.00/month. The final fee will be determined by projected needs. The basic raised bed is 4’ x 4’ x 8”. It is lined with landscape cloth to keep the dirt in and the critters (gophers and ground squirrels) out. Fencing will be added to keep the bunnies and javelinas from feasting.
